Truth. Justice. Minesweeper.

God, I feel like an idiot.

I was walking down the street this morning and I happened to notice a guy looking into a store window. He looked familiar; something about his eyebrows and cheekbones, and a faint mark on his forehead. But I couldn't place him.

I continued on to work. The day passed, I fed the fish, I did the databases. Only as I was getting ready to leave did it dawn on me: the guy I had seen this morning was EagleEye! EagleEye's a supervillain Bob's been hunting for months. I called Bob, twelve hours late, and told him, but of course the trail was ice cold by then.

"Jesus, Dennis," Bob said, "did you not think I'd want to know? If you see him again I want to know right away. I mean right goddamnit Dennis away."

"I'm really sorry," I said. "I just didn't recognize who he was."

"You have to. I know it isn't easy. But this is exactly the kind of thing you have to do. What the hell do you think Greyghost collects all those pictures for? The top supervillains, you have to carve their faces onto your brain. You have to know them when you see them. When I think of all the time I spent chasing this guy."

So now I've got a new item on my daily routine. Memorizing faces.
